Grid connected :

In grid connected rooftop solar system the DC power generated from SPV Panel is converted to AC power using solar inverter and fad to the the grid either of 33 KV/11 KV three phase lines or of 440/220 KV three or single phase line depending on the local technical requirements.

in this system the power will generate when the utility Power Grid is available , they must connected to the grid to function. They can send access power generated back to the grid when you are over producing so you credit it for next month use.

Benefits:

These are simplest systems and the most cost effective to install this systems payback is 3 to 4 years and the average life span is 25 years. these systems doesn’t required batteries so maintenance cost is very lower.

Limitations :

These  systems do not provide electricity when utility grid is on breakdown.
